Church services

At baptism, man becomes a member of the church. Being a member of God’s family, the baptized person is called to grow in faith, to know God, and to follow the teachings of Jesus. At the baptism of the child, the parents and godparents commit themselves to raising the child in the Christian faith. The baptism is delivered to the Father in the name of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Clean water is used for crossing, which is put on the baptismal head. The child may be baptized already in the first months of life. There are no age limitations for adult baptism. When a person has reached the camp and has remained unbaptized as a child, his or her baptism takes place with the confirmation. Exceptionally, a godparent may also belong to another denomination. An adult may also have a godparent, but it is not obligatory. The task of the godparent is to help the family (in the absence of parents, if necessary) instead of bringing the child to Christianity so that the baptized child can receive baptismal instruction and grow in godliness and love. The godparent is witnessing the baptismal service and can prove, if necessary, that his crucifix is baptized. The godparent gives the service a promise to pray for the godfather and to help him with his word and example so that he can remain a living member of the Christian Church, loving God and neighbor as Christ has taught us. The Church, for its part, supports the religious growth of the child through child and youth work, and through the school. It is also possible to baptize at home or another suitable place. The time and place of baptism is agreed with the baptismal cleric. Before baptism, it is advisable for parents and godparents to meet a clergyman with a baptized child. Baptismal service is suitable for the baptismal service. It is advisable to apply for baptism in the congregation of your place of residence. If a child’s or adult’s life is in danger and his or her baptism is desired, another baptized person can do it. This kind of baptism is called emergency evangelism, and it is later confirmed by the church teacher. For children, it is possible to use a baptismal dress, for adults there are white long baptisms used in many congregations. Preferably, it is a cross with a precious metal (silver or gold) that is blessed by the service and placed on the neck. In the case of children, the collar is often also a gift from the godparents. What happens if I do not remember my baptism? Baptism applies even if one cannot remember his baptism himself. If one does not know for sure whether he is baptized or not, and it is not possible to check it out from anywhere, so-called condemnation may be carried out.

The singing takes place in the church, in the chapel or in another suitable place. It is natural that long-established, but unmarried, couples still let themselves be singed to ask God’s blessing for their common life. if the woman had been baptized and confessed and the marriage could be registered nationally. The marriage is preceded by a clergyman’s meeting with the young couple, and the clergyman always has the opportunity to refuse the marriage when he sees that those who wish to marry are not ready for this step. If a couple has previously divorced marriages, they must be prepared to explain to the clergyman the reasons for the breakage of earlier marriages, and to listen to the clergy’s explanations of marriage as a life-long union. It can also be canceled if the marriage plans fail. With the desire to sing, it is appropriate to turn to the Lutheran congregation teacher of the place of residence and talk to him about the desire for marriage. In the latter case, the blessing of the marriage takes place with the gratitude service and the prerequisite is that the couple is baptized and confessed.

The Eucharist is the second sacrament of the Lutheran Church. There the person receives the body and blood of Jesus Christ, in the form of bread and wine, sanctified by the consecrated Eucharist, that is, himself. Unlike baptism, the Eucharist is a multiple sacrament, and it is advisable to participate as often as possible. The Eucharist is the spiritual theme of the Church member, the food that is needed to grow in the knowledge and experience of God. Who can come to the Eucharist? It is important that the person is aware of what the Eucharist is all about. When settling on a new place or after major rebuilding work, it is appropriate to invite the church teacher to bless your home. It is a gratitude of gratitude and blessing that expresses your conviction that all goodness comes from God and that the best life is with Him.

Often, the blessing of the home is also sought for anomalous phenomena. In this case, it must be emphasized that it is not a magical act that so called evil spirits or other inexplicable and bad things will go away. First of all you have to deal with your own divine relationship: go to baptism and alienation, begin reading the scriptures and pray, and live according to the Christian doctrine.

To bless the home, you should contact the church teacher and agree on a suitable time. There could be at least all those who live in this place. If possible, loved ones and neighbors could also be invited.
